How did Racer 5 get the name?
Rich originally wanted to name it Speed Racer but couldn’t get the copyright. Someone had said to him “why not call it Racer?” So it became Racer 5 – Rich himself races cars and flies the 5 on his car.

Racer 5 IPA is more than just the sum of its ingredients, it’s a key to the memories and places and times we shared with it. It’s a hoppy golden connection to our friends, our greater Bear Family, and our passion for quality craft ale.
