Three year aged barrels of spontaneous beer were transferred into secondary oak tank along with freshly harvested and manually crushed whole clusters of Syrah grapes from one of our vineyards in The Rocks District of Milton Freewater.
The beer underwent an extended maceration and fermentation with this lovely fruit, and was then transferred back into oak barrels for further maturation and development over another year.
The end result is a lovely marriage of the two components: Mature, funky beer, along with the savory, fruity and earthy spice character of Syrah.
We think you’ll love it too. Now, or even more so after a few years in bottle.
