NZ hops often bring heavy diesel dankness, which we absolutely love, but this IPA takes a different approach.
We leaned on some hops that feature more citrus and tropical notes over a massive dank punch. We played with a new-to-us hop, Wakatu, and found that its intense citrus notes paired well with the candy like tropical notes from Superdelic.
This is an easy drinker at 6.2% with bright flavor that pairs perfectly with SoCal summertime.

El Segundo Oceans Apart
Brilliantly clear with pale gold body and white, stable foam. Major aromatic notes are grapefruit, lime, lychee, sweet floral, subtle dank sweaty undertones and doughy, sweet bread malt character.
NZ diesel notes are low but present as it warms. Medium light body with a dry finish, and bitterness balances but never overtakes the palate.
