Two 5 Left is not only LAX’s closest runway to El Segundo, it’s also a longtime favorite beer amongst our staff and taproom regulars. And with a hop profile of Simcoe and Citra balanced with a nice malty backbone, can you blame’em?
El Segundo Two 5 Left DIPA utilizes American Two Row, Crystal Malts, and Vienna for a smooth, non-caramel, light sweetness. Significant hop presence from massive dry hopping with Cascade, Citra, and Simcoe hops.
Simcoe & Citra steal the runway, dominating the aroma with big tropical notes of passionfruit and papaya. We add just a touch of crystal malt (gasp!) to provide a backbone that plays well with the soft yet assertive hop profile.
