Reviews
James Suckling – “Plum, dried blueberry, sandalwood and walnut husk on the nose. Some nutmeg and tar. It’s medium-bodied with rounded tannins and a soft, silky finish. Turns slightly chewy at the end. Drinkable now but better in a year or two.” (92 Pts)
Vinous – “The 2017 Familia Furlotti Malbec is a blend of grapes from Lunlunta, Maipú and Paraje Altamira, Uco Valley. This wine was 30% aged in used French barrels for eight months. Purplish-red in the glass. An accomplished Mendoza Malbec, it has a subtle, fruity nose of fresh plum, fragrant violets and notes from the aging process along with a hint of white pepper. Broad and juicy in the mouth with tannins that gently enhance the volume, this is an easy-drinking, flavorful wine.” (91 Pts)
