The grapes from 35 year old vines bought from this white stoned land have undergone an ageing in 600 litre barrels (demi-muid) blended with 30% wine that has been aged in stainless steel tanks. The French Oak adds a complexity that suits the purity from the stainless steel.
The white gold that sticks the walls of the glass evokes, by it brightness, the Chardonnay at full ripeness. The wine is full and the oyster shells that make up the subsoil leave with and unique hint of saltiness.

Hand-harvested and whole cluster pressed. Native yeast fermentation for three months. 100% malolactic fermentation. Aged 18 months in 600 L demi-muid barrels (70%) and stainless steel tanks (30%). Bottled filtered (no fining or cold-stabilization).

Reserved and a little “aloof”, you keep coming back for more. The palate is well balanced with superb salinity, harmonious and poised, not a million miles away from Garnier’s Mont de Milieu with a very persistent and satisfying finish.
