Jacquesson Cuvée 745 Grand Vin Champagne Extra Brut
Growing Region:
Champagne, France. All grand and premier cru fruit from the Grande Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs: specifically 66% from Ay, Dizy, and Hautvillers; 34% from Avize and Oiry.
Grapes:
This cuvée is based on the 2017 harvest. The approximate blend is half Chardonnay followed by Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The Cuvée was completed with reserve wines from previous 700 series wines.
Vinification Notes:
Grapes were rigorously sorted before entering a vertical press. Only the juice from the first two pressings is used. Fermentation takes place in older foudre with full ML (hence lower SO2 additions). Bottled without cold stabilization, fining or filtration.
Dosage: 0.75 gr/l.
Reviews
James Suckling – “A little more bright and vibrant than the 744, with notes of poached pear, baked apple, grapefruit, lemon rind and pistachio. Fine bubbles with crisp acidity and a pure, fruity core. Very drinkable. 0.75g/L dosage.” (93 Pts)
