Introducing Manticore Tears. Made with a whole lot of Pacific Northwest raspberries and blueberries, Northern California Grenache grapes and Southern California orange blossom honey.

One of our favorite pure melomels we’ve ever made.

The nose on this beast is a tantalizing mix of raspberry jam and strawberry preserves followed by blueberry compote and subtle jasmine notes. The taste is juicy sweet bursting with mixed berries and honey, with noticeable acidity balancing the sweetness without making it tart.

The sweet/acid/tannin balance in this mead is dialed to perfect; it’s decadent while still addictingly drinkable, the kind of balance your taste buds were biologically designed to crave above all.

And that pretty much sums up this special mead. It’s just plain delicious. While it’s fantastic now, it also has all the components needed to cellar incredibly well over more years than you’re probably willing to hold out.
