Off Color Ghost Lemons

We first released this collaboration with Allagash Brewing back in June 2018 and re-released it in 2023! Ghost Lemons features Allagash’s house brett and our more funk forward, pineapple rind-like wild culture in a wit beer inspired by Allagash White.

With the addition of pineapple oranges and field lemons, you’ll notice a first blush of summer peaches, preserved lemon and marmalade leading to a verdant, round mouthfeel of kiwi, hay, and barnyard funk. A twinge of tartness dissipates to a bone dry, slightly saline finish reminiscent of brackish water and the bucolic memories of lemons past.

Allagash Brewing Company is one of those breweries for us. So it’s safe to say when we got the opportunity to brew a collaboration beer with them at the Mousetrap prior to Saison Day 2018, we were humbled, honored, and a bunch of other words.
