GORGE SOUND is a dry, white blend (predominantly Riesling) that’s an aromatic combination of asian pear smashed with candied ginger and fresh tobacco. The fruit on the nose is wrapped in earthiness, but the palate unfolds with rich textures and bright acidity…an unusual pairing indeed.

This wine tries to capture the polarizing, quiet stillness and wild wind of the Columbia Gorge. The verve and tension of the wine reflects the chemawa, dusty volcanic soils, and the palate richness is sourced from the warm sun reflecting off of the river. We bring the wine to life through native fermentation and aging in 1,000 Liter, Austrian Oval Cask.
