From small plots distributed along the Salnés Valley (between the areas of Meaño and Sanxenxo), which rise from 10 meters above the level of the Ría de Arousa, up to 190 meters in the highest part of the valley, in the parish of Simes. Its soils are composed largely of xabre (decomposed granite). The age of its vines varies from 30 to 80 years old.
Fresh and balanced wine, wide on the palate, with aromas of stone fruit and white flowers.

His entry-level Albariño doesn’t list the grape on the label and is aptly called Sen Etiqueta (without label). Its grapes are harvested from his family’s other vineyards scattered throughout Rías Baixas, mainly in Meaño, a three or four mile flight from the Atlantic. It’s snappy, minerally, pure and a fabulous deal for the quality.
Pedro Méndez’s wines are characterized by their freshness and Atlantic character, resulting in lively, elegant and long-drinking wines, with minimal intervention in the winery and maximum respect for the vineyard, thus expressing the varieties to their full potential, reminiscent of the wines of yesteryear in the Salnés Valley.
