Reviews
Wine Spectator – “A ripe, fleshy, expressive style, with warm fig and blackberry compote notes forming the core, while licorice root, anise and sweet tapenade flavors define the background. Fruit-driven overall, but this reveals a vibrant chalky streak through the finish, keeping this grounded. Best from 2021 through 2038. 183 cases made, 35 cases imported.” (94 Pts)
Vinous – “Saturated ruby. Pungent, smoke-accented red and dark berry scents are complimented by suggestions of exotic spices and dried flowers. Broad and fleshy in style, offering juicy blackberry, cherry and spicecake flavors that become livelier with air. Pliant tannins frame the long, penetrating finish, which leaves dark chocolate and licorice noted behind.” (92 Pts)
