Intense and lively garnet red color with subtle orange reflections; intense, persistent and elegant aroma, with fruity hints of raspberry, cherry and strawberry, plum jam.

The ethereal sensation follows and other more evolved ones such as tobacco and hay, cinnamon, pepper and vanilla; balsamic hints such as menthol are also present.

In the mouth it is full, dry, broad and full-bodied, with a well-integrated tannin texture, warm and persistent.

Ideal for roast red meats, baked game, mature cheeses. With time it can become a great wine to sip outside of meals even without gastronomic accompaniment.

The ‘Ronchi’ vineyard surrounds the family farm and home, part of a natural amphitheater along the eastern edge of the appellation not far from Neive.

Aged for two years in a combination of cask and French oak barrel.

VINEYARDS: The ‘Ronchi’ vineyard, at 960 feet above sea level and facing southeast, runs along the eastern edge of the appellation; the land forms a natural amphitheater. Soils are a classic mix of clay and limestone.

AGE OF VINES: 30 to 40 years

WINEMAKING: Hand-harvested. Fermentation on indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled, stainless steel tanks. Aged for two years in a mix of tank, large cask and French oak barrels.

TASTING IMPRESSIONS: Aromas of black cherries, light herbs, warm leather; concentrated yet balanced, with moderate tannins and good length.
