Our English Barleywine aged for over 1 year in freshly emptied bourbon barrels.
This ale emerges from the barrel with immense aromas of toffee, caramel, vanilla, sweet bourbon, and oak. A soft bitterness and a touch of tannin from extended aging bring balance to an otherwise malty-sweet style. As the beer warms, expect the spirit character, caramel and toffee to intensify.
