Estate Vineyard – this fruit comes from Ingeborg’s Vineyard, located in the eastern region of the Santa Ynez Valley AVA and closely bordering the Happy Canyon AVA. A level site consisting of Positas series, variations of sandy clay loam with gravel predominant Syrah

Hand sorted, de-stemmed, cold soak, punch downs, pressed when dry.

Racked to 1 year 80% French Oak and 20% Hungarian Oak for 28 months.

Unfined and unfiltered

100% Syrah

Wine Enthusiast – “There’s a unique, slightly oxidative quality to the nose of this bottling, with balsamic reduction, savory pepper and cola on the nose. Tart berries are surrounded by sea salt and crushed peppercorns on the palate, which is framed by squeaky tannins and persistent acidity.” (90 Pts)
