Welcome to The Breakfast Klub Volume 2: OUTER DARK COFFEE CO.

Our continued exploration in the coffee beer space. With each release we seek to learn, experiment, and share.

For our newest project we worked closely with Outer Dark Coffee in Tacoma, WA to select compelling coffees that spoke strongly of their ethos and character as a premier roaster.

After tasting over a dozen coffees and selecting our favorites, we then discussed how to build the beer. It was a clear choice when landing an Imperial Cream Ale because our goal was to showcase the wonderful complexities in the selected origins. Rather than battle against roast character in a stout, we found it appropriate to display the lightly natural and stunning fruit qualities in a golden hued, creamy base.

This blend incorporates beans from Colombia, Brazil, and Ethiopia, and offers lovely flavors of dark chocolate, cacao nibs, toasted walnuts, melon, rose, and jasmine with a pop of acidity in the finish.”
