14º Special Czech Lager is back as what has become an unofficial Anniversary beer – brewed to be a little stronger than a pils at 6.2% ABV and hopped exclusively with a newer Czech Grown hop variety called Kazbek it is crisp and hoppy like a pils but with a little more oomph to make it more of a special occasion celebration beer.

We’re dropping a very special “Zero Day Old” 14° Special Czech Lager to celebrate our 4th Anniversary.

Why 14°?

Often beers brewed stronger (above 13º) in the Czech Republic are reserved for special occasions and referred to as “Speciál Ležák” or Special lager. We used our floor malted Bohemian Pilsner malt combined with a new hop variety from the Czech Republic called Kazbek. It exhibits notes of citrus and fruit but still has that Saaz classic noble spice character.
