Avec les Bons Vœux translates in English to “With best wishes of the Brewery Dupont.”
First brewed in 1970 as a Christmas offering for Dupont’s most loyal customers, it has become one of the shining gems of the Brewery’s collection. It is still produced in limited quantities and offered during the holiday season. It is considered by many to be the premier example of a Belgian holiday ale. Brewed with a selection of Dupont’s signature yeasts and given a longer maturation phase, the resulting beer has a full and malty richness with flavors of banana, clove and lemon peel. With an ABV of 9.5%, it is sure to keep you warm during the cold winter months. Bottled conditioned, Bons Vœux will age well and develop a deeper complexity over time, making it perfect to give as a gift—just as it was originally intended.
Avec Les Bons Vœux is coppery blond, has very fine hop aromas combining bitter, fruity and mild tastes. Our selection of yeasts, in combination with a long ripening process on a “dry hopping” base create a typical and complex beer. A real re-fermentation in the bottle, which will continue for a long time in your cellar, result in a harmonious and well-balanced beer, full of unexpected and complex aromas.
It can be enjoyed with almost any comforting winter dish, from marinated meat to slow-roasted pork—even with spiced desserts and chocolate cake.
