To celebrate the Abbey’s 175 years of history, commitment and its local roots, the Chimay Trappist brewery is unveiling an exclusive creation: Chimay 175. A lively yet refined limited edition blond beer, brewed in the spirit of the monastic tradition.

This new addition to the Chimay family boasts a bright blonde color, a fine, persistent head and an elegant nose with aromas of citrus fruit, red apple and spices such as cardamom and coriander. On the palate, Chimay 175 reveals a harmonious balance between fruity freshness and spicy complexity, with a dry and subtly piquant finish.

With an alcohol content of 6.5% and an ideal serving temperature between 4 and 6°C, Chimay 175 is a refreshing beer to be enjoyed during this commemorative year

To celebrate Scourmont Abbey’s 175th anniversary, we have brewed Chimay 175.

This unique and sophisticated pale ale lights up our glasses with its golden robe and fine foam. Its elegant bouquet boasts notes of citrus, red apple and spices, while its taste balanced between freshness and spicy complexity appeals with every mouthful.

Since 1862 Chimay’s ales have been fermented in the bottle. These secondary fermented ales have neither been pasteurized nor filtered and only natural ingredients are used. The Trappist logo certifies that this ale is brewed in a Trappist Abbey and that the majority of the profit is intended for social aid.
